End-to-end steel fabrication - around 100 tonnes a month through our Rotherham workshop, delivered and erected by our own crews UK-wide.
What we deliver.
Steel fabrication is the company's founding service and still the backbone of what Rotherham produces. Four fabrication bays at our Hellaby facility, running at around 100 tonnes a month of combined output, with CNC machining, laser cutting, coded welding to BS EN ISO 9606, and Factory Production Control to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 2.
Primary and secondary structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, balustrade and staircase, sheet metal components, access platforms, and bespoke one-offs. Fabrication followed by delivery on our own transport and erection by our own installation team - the same model that built the 120-metre Level 9 walkway at 3 Chamberlain Square Birmingham for Sir Robert McAlpine and the 40-tonne Leeds walkway we lifted by tower crane through tight access.

Free site survey
We visit your site, review the drawings, and scope the brief. Same-day quote on small domestic enquiries; 1-2 weeks on large commercial tenders with a full take-off.
3D design & detailing
Tekla 3D modelling, CAD drawings, connection design. BIM deliverables at LOD 300+ on request.
Material procurement
UKCA-marked steel sourced from approved UK mills. Full traceability and mill certs supplied.
In-house fabrication
CNC cutting, automated welding, shot-blasting and paint at our Rotherham facility.
QA & documentation
NDT testing, dimensional checks, weld inspections. Full QA pack with every delivery.
Site delivery & install
CSCS crew. Own plant and MEWPs. RAMS, method statements, and as-built drawings at handover.
Craftsmanship. Accountability. No shortcuts.
No subcontracted welders. No outsourced site crews. Every project from 3D model to final torque-check is handled by a certified UIS team from our Rotherham facility.

Questions clients ask us.
Around 100 tonnes in one month - which covers most commercial light-industrial, mezzanine, and architectural packages. Larger programmes need a phased delivery conversation: we can run 200 tonnes across two months, 300 across three, but not 300 in a single month. Clear capacity signalling at quote stage prevents programme slippage at delivery.
Both. Supply-and-install is the standard offer - fabricate, deliver on own transport, erect with our own crew, hand over with UKCA documentation. Supply-only is available where you already have an erection contractor. We will quote either way.
Mill test certificates with material traceability, Factory Production Control records under BS EN 1090 Execution Class 2, BS EN ISO 9606 welder approval records for the individuals on your job, weld procedure specifications for critical applications, ISO 9001 QA records, UKCA marking, and the 12-month defect liability - all in one handover pack, shipped with the steelwork.
